Memorandum of Trilateral Cooperation among the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee, Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals and Demiroglu Bilim University of the Republic of Turkey was signed at the Central Customs Hospital on May 3.
The Memorandum was signed by chief of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee Jeyhun Mammadov, executive director of Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals Sinan Nazif Aran and rector of Demiroglu Bilim University Chavlan Chiftchi.
The event was also attended by chief of the Scientific Practice and Teaching Center of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee Rashad Mahmudov, chief of the Central Customs Hospital Elman Mammadov and other officials.
It was said that the Memorandum would contribute to strengthening and developing cooperation in the medical sphere. As part of the cooperation Demiroglu Bilim University and Scientific Practice and Teaching Center of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee plan to enhance cooperation in the sphere of medical education, organize joint scientific-practical conferences, symposiums, professional courses and other events.
The cooperation established between the Central Customs Hospital and Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals, the leading medical institutions of the two countries, will boost the quality of medical service provided to the people, intensive work will be done in this direction. The joint scientific-practical events, scientific-research activities, medical studies to be realized through collaboration of the leading specialists of the Central Customs Hospital and Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals will contribute to applying innovations in the medical sphere in our country, gaining new scientific achievements and developing this sphere.
After the signing ceremony the guests familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the Central Customs Hospital, were given detailed information about the liver and kidney transplantation, heart surgeries in newborns. It was said that the hospital was the most modern medical facility in Azerbaijan in terms of medical and technical supply, liver and kidney transplantation.
