State Customs Committee chairman meets Mexican ambassador to our country
On April 6, chairman of the State Customs Committee, customs service Colonel-General Safar Mehdiyev met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to our country Rodrigo Labardini.
Chairman of the State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev spoke about the economic-commercial relations between the two countries, expressed confidence that the cooperation would be further continued.
Giving information about the reforms carried out in the customs system in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the chairman of the Committee said the innovations paved the way for safe, easy and quick realization of the international trade, facilitation of customs procedures.
Chairman of the State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev expressed hope that “The Agreement on mutual administrative assistance and exchange of information in the customs sphere between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United Mexican States” would be signed this year, said the agreement would boost the relations between the customs services of the two countries and accelerate integration of the sides. Drawing attention to the volume of trade turnover between the two countries, the chairman of the Committee said there were opportunities to further increase the trade turnover and underlined the importance of using the opportunities to the utmost.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to our country Rodrigo Labardini expressed satisfaction with his activity in Azerbaijan, underlined that the Mexican government attached great importance to the cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Noting that mutual cooperation was of great importance for both countries, the ambassador underlined that the customs services played a special role in the development of relations, including economic-commercial ties.
The diplomat spoke about the current level of relations between the two countries, prospects in this sphere, underlined the importance of mutual activity, exchange of experience in terms of enhancing cooperation between the customs services of Azerbaijan and Mexico.
Views were exchanged on the issues of mutual interest.
