Alfa
Alfa is a male German Shepherd. His primary search targets are tobacco products and narcotics. On December 2, 2021, at the Astara customs post, a service dog named "Alfa" was used to inspect a vehicle carrying "margarine oil" from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The service dog reacted around the cabin of the vehicle. Upon further inspection, 137 kg 339 grams of heroin was found hidden in various parts of the cabin, packaged in 171 transparent rectangular parcels.
