Sem
Sem is a male German Shepherd. Known for their endurance in extreme conditions, German Shepherds are strong, intelligent, and trainable, making them one of the world's most famous dog breeds. On December 2, 2021, at the Astara customs post, a freight vehicle carrying "stone" from the Islamic Republic of Iran through the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia was inspected using a stationary X-ray device. A service dog named "Sem" was then used to inspect the vehicle. The dog reacted to pallets of stone blocks in the trailer, where 306 kg 710 grams of heroin was found hidden.
