Layma

Layma

Layma is a female Labrador Retriever. With a harmonious nature that seeks to please its owner, Layma has a highly developed sense of smell. Labradors can even detect cancer. Research has shown that Labradors trained to sense cancer cells can detect cancer by smelling a patient's breath, feces, or blood. Originally used as hunting companions, Labradors are now successfully used as therapy dogs and guides. On April 3, 2022, based on operational information, a postal package sent from Azerbaijan to Australia was intercepted. The package, with the sender's address listed as "Baku 1" and the recipient's name as "Alex Robert," was inspected using a service dog named "Layma." The dog reacted to the package, and inside the heating pad for a bed, 490 grams of opium was found hidden, soaked into a dark-colored pad.
