The Measurement of Border Crossing Time

The State Customs Committee has implemented the "Time Release Study" (TRS) project at all customs border crossing points in the Republic of Azerbaijan based on the methodology outlined in the World Customs Organization's "Guide to Measure the Time Required for the Release of Goods." The aim of the project is to determine the time it takes for goods and vehicles to cross the border, to be released, and to exit the border crossing, to identify existing problems in the overall business process through the analysis of collected statistical data, and to ensure a more efficient management of the border crossing and customs clearance processes for goods and vehicles.
