Mimi is a female Labrador Retriever. Labrador Retrievers are calm, curious, and loyal dogs that seek to please their owners. They originated in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Labrador Retrievers are highly intelligent and easy to train, known for their openness, empathy, and love for all living beings. On November 6, 2021, at the Astara customs post, a service dog was used to inspect a vehicle carrying "raisins" from the Islamic Republic of Iran through the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Moldova. The dog reacted to the left side of the vehicle's tractor. Upon inspection, 301 kg 475 grams of heroin was found hidden inside a divided fuel tank. On April 19, 2021, at the Astara customs post, a service dog named "Mimi" was used to inspect a vehicle carrying "furniture" from the Islamic Republic of Iran through the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation. The dog reacted to the surroundings of the trailer. Inspection revealed 43 kg 491 grams of hashish hidden in the arms of sofas and chairs, packaged in 34 parcels wrapped in foil.
